For early Intel Pentium machines equipped with SB cards existed Analogic that later turned into AXS, not relying on the SB chip to drive envelopes.
AXS is still available for modern machines. Can R36S ride the old AXS?

Can the r36s do midi over USB?

So far, there hasn’t been any report of success with using the port and any standard midi device.
